The roofers have started putting the drip edge on the front of the home. I am using the lift shown in the first picture to install and stain the facia. The sofit is also installed on the front of the home (need and ground up view to see).

Breakfast Anyone?
I finished the roof of the breakfast room yesterday. A light will eventually hang from the center of this beam (hopefully you can't see the electrical wire that I ran through a hole I drilled in the top beam). Because I wanted to put the tongue and groove ceiling on top of the beams I built this roof opposite the normal way (ceiling, insulation, then roof decking).
Stoned!
One of the challenges with building on a mountain slope is the need to retain the steep cut banks. The tree in the left-center of the picture sits about 13 feet above the front yard. We have built two waterfalls (upper right and lower left corner of openning below the timber frame bent and rock stairs (center and far right of view). The waterfalls connect to a stream that will eventually make its way to a 1/2 acre pond that will be built in the canyon floor.
